Whole Wheat Waffles
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 large egg
1 1/2 cups warm milk
3 tablespoons melted butter or neutral oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional).
- Whisk dry ingredients together, whisk wet ingredients together.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry and mix just until combined, lumps are ok!
- Pour into waffle iron and cook until golden brown.
*this batter can be used to make pancakes too! Add fruit or chocolate chips into batter for more variety.
