Simple Roast Chicken
2 tablespoon Italian seasoning
2 teaspoon granulated garlic
Salt and pepper
¼ cup olive oil
½ a whole chicken (or use a whole chicken!)
5 drumsticks (eliminate if using whole chicken)
- Preheat your oven to 425 degrees and line a baking sheet with foil or parchment.
- In a small bowl, combine Italian seasoning with garlic and salt and pepper.
- Coat chicken with olive oil and then sprinkle with seasoning mixture.
- Cook whole chicken in the oven for 70- 80 minutes and chicken legs for 40- 45 minutes, a meat thermometer should read between 160- 165 degrees before you remove it from the oven. Cover the chicken with foil if you notice the chicken getting to brown. Let the chicken rest for at least 10 minutes before serving.
